Celebrating Salvation

Whooo~ Finally got back from my Grandparents’ … where boredom abounds. S’okay, it gave me time for my annual Easter greetings for all my friends and watchers here on dA. I procrastinated a lot on doing one, and I even considered drawing a secular “card” and even started sketching it out. But God had other plans for me. So I listened to Him instead of me... So here it is. I hope this is what He wanted. This pic is actually somewhat inspired by a B.C. comic that came out back in the late 90’s during Easter that I remember very vividly… it still gives me “Jesus-bumps” when I think about it.

Oh no-no-no-no! Not that at all! Malachi is just the same as you 'n me! (Well, except that he's furry 'n full of quills... <_< ) Wait, what?! Mallie’s the wrong color you say? There is a REASON why Mallie is in white and he’s dripping red… when there’s obviously not a scratch on ‘im. Christian and Easter symbolisms in this piece abound! See if you can spot them all… starting with why Mallie's in white.
