It was like a day or two after my "one-step-closer-to-old" day. Anywho, I was bummed about many things, and as I was listening to the radio (my iPod is still missing <_<` ) the song, "Someday" by Larue came on. At first, I blinked in surprise, the radio never plays real music anymore these days. But then I realized, that the lyrics of the song were something that I really needed to hear at the time. Funny how God does that sometimes, no?  Well anyway, the gryphon was first sketched out onto a card envelope, and then later that weekend I decided to turn it into a full fledged drawing. No reference to site for the background; I see it behind the barn everyday!  Midnight Blue acrylic on watercolor paper. Worked over with my medium of preference— Prisma colored-pencil. I don't know how big it is; I forgot to measure it.  I just know it's bigger'n my scanner, so unfortunately I had to use the digi-camera. The colors are really much smoother and richer in real life than they appear digitally.
