MoonShine

To understand what's going on here you simply must read this description.

By now most of ya'll know my fanfic Shadow is just a tad different than his darker/original counterpart. I love writing Shadow's character because he is so refreshingly more unique than some of my other ones. Sometimes I think the fun is because he can get away with things that I can't in real life. He tends to mood swing, he has a sharp wit, and says/does whatever he wants and he don't really give a rat's patooie whether you like it or not. He can be surprisingly patient at times and a real sweetheart, but if you tick him off he's a royal pain in the arse!

Well anywho, not only have I been writing him in a fanfic, but I've also been role playing him with along with a bunch of other characters. It's been really fun! This is one of MY favorite scenes in the game so far. The way she describes Dr. Nue aka "Tails" in her world, always brought to mind a fennec or 'desert' fox. So I have sketched him how I invision him. As for Shaz, well here is a little insight into his personality....


At Shadow’s demand of ‘no drugs’ the doctor had apparently resorted to other methods- more primitive ones no doubt; and he started placing various containers down on the side table next to everything else.

"This is something called Sarki,” Shadow heard the fox begin to explain while holding up a jar of bluish liquid, “ It is made from baby raccoon teeth. It prevents you from getting a nasty scar and encourages faster and healthier fur growth."

“Really?” the hedgehog quipped, “And these ‘baby raccoons’ were not harmed in its production I hope… for your sake. Or is there some ‘baby raccoon tooth-fairy’ that drifts from door to door, burrow to burrow trading them all in for a quarter? I fail to see how the ‘powdered-and-then-dissolved-into-a-liquid’ enamel of a tooth, which consists mostly of calcium, can repair one’s hide and reduce an impending scar.”

Shadow smirked, thinking he might have said something to make the fox stumble on himself. But Nue went on to discuss a different vessel.

"This is Moonshine in its liquid state. It keeps the cuts clean and free of infection during healing."

“ ‘Moonshine’ only exists in a liquid state,” Shadow returned dryly. “Everyone knows that moonshine is a homebrewed, red-neck, backwoods definition for 100-proof alcohol. We could also define moonshine as the words of a gibberish-brained man. Either way, you’ve defined something that is wet and sloshy…”

Dr. Nue seemed to smirk wryly at this, "Maybe I should give you guys some for the road."

“If it is of the kind of a gibberish-brained man, I’m afraid I shall have to decline. I’ve had quite enough of that for today. Thanks, but no thanks. However,” Shadow suddenly grinned, “…if the other kind melts my brain as well enough as it‘s going to do to my flesh, I just might consider it. I could use a mental vacation…”
